me as fire engine

In the last months of his senior year at high school, Gavin's girlfriend dumps him, his best friend drifts away and his grandfather, a rancher as ancient and mysterious as Florida's back woods, dies. Jimmy the Drunk, a bum who can train squirrels to smoke, and Magnolia Thunderpussy, the toughest man in town and a transsexual bank cleaner, try to teach Gavin to do the right thing. It is not until he meets Odd, a fire-eating dwarf with a plan for a better life, that Gavin sees his mistakes have consequences, and it takes a night in jail to understand the choice he needs to make. He is from this generation of boys raised by women. He has everything except for rules and a father.
Pissing on Dolphins shows us the vulgarity, the humor and the sincerity of a teenage boy contending with the demands of growing up in today's world.
